According to Sydney Mkata, Phalombe District Community Development Officer, residents of Muthupwa 1 Village, under Traditional Authority (TA) Mkhumba, have repaired a footpath bridge, while those in Chabwera Village under TA Jenala have rehabilitated the Chivulamalaya earth road.
These projects demonstrate the impact of the CDM initiative in promoting collective action and community development.
The government designated the month of May as Community Development Month to promote collective action among community members, traditional leaders, civil society organizations, and government departments.
