Former MBC chief George Kasakula, co-accused Kamwachale on bail

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Director General George Kasakula and his co-accused Jackson Kamwachale have been released on bail after appearing before the Blantyre Senior Resident Magistrate Court.

The duo who were arrested on Wednesday, have been formally charged with three counts.

Presiding magistrate Assunta Maxwell granted them bail with several conditions.

The suspects have been ordered to pay MK350,000 cash, provide two sureties, and sign a non-cash bond of MK2 million.

They have also been ordered to surrender their travel documents and report to police every two weeks.
