BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Fiscal Police on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 arrested former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Director General, George Kasakula.
Kasakula confirmed that he has been placed under arrest after spending several hours being questioned by Fiscal Police in Blantyre.
“Yes, I am now being informed that I have been arrested and will be detained. I have been here [Fiscal Police offices in Blantyre] since 9am for questioning,” he said.
Kasakula was dismissed about three weeks ago by the MBC board over allegations of “gross misconduct.”
He is yet to charged.
