BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-On International Women’s Day at Nazombe Primary School in Phalombe, renowned politician and motivational speaker Patricia Kaliati delivered a powerful message emphasizing the importance of girls staying in school to achieve their dreams.
Kaliati urged parents and local leaders to prioritize and promote girl-child education, rejecting cultural beliefs that hinder the progress of young girls.
Speaking at the event organized by Oxfam and CAVWOC, Kaliati’s words resonated with the audience as she emphasized the need for girls to overcome any barriers that stand in the way of their education.
She encouraged the community to support and empower girls to succeed in all aspects of life.
Paramount Chief Kaduya also spoke at the event, highlighting the efforts of local chiefs in strengthening by-laws to protect the girl child in the district.
Through these by-laws, the chiefs are working to create a safe and supportive environment for girls to thrive and receive an education.
