LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-‎Sometimes, the greatest pain is not only being accused of something you did not do, but watching the world form its judgment before you are given a fair chance to speak.

‎For Bishop Medram Chirwa, the unfolding murder controversy raises difficult questions about justice, the presumption of innocence, and the human cost of public accusations.
‎
‎Questions have also emerged about the whereabouts of Bishop Chirwa during the periods covered by the allegations.

‎
‎During a visit at Maula Prison in Lilongwe, this publication encountered a seemingly relaxed Bishop Chirwa, holding his Bible, smiling, and speaking with confidence about his situation.

Far from appearing overwhelmed by the controversy, he seemed determined to remain positive.
‎
‎“I know I didn’t do it, why should I be worried? Look at me!”, Medram reportedly said, smiling.

He went on to joke that he was even getting fatter than before, laughing as he spoke.
‎
‎His words, delivered with a smile, offered a glimpse of a man determined not to allow the allegations surrounding him to rob him of his peace, the public deserves clarity.

Investigators and the courts must establish what happened, who was responsible, and whether the allegations against each individual are supported by credible evidence.
