LILONGWE (MaraviPost)— Death has been announced of Paramount Chief Mkhumba of Phalombe District.
Until his death, Mkhumba was the highest chief of one of Malawi’s tribes, the Lhomwe people.
According to District Commissioner for Phalombe District Mr Paul Kalilombe, Paramount Mkhumba died earlier on Tuesday 1st July, 2014.
Kalilombe said that burial arrangements will be disclosed later.
