1 Min Read

Machinga, April 20: Police in Machinga through its Youth School Outreach and Child Protection Unit organized a bus trip to Blantyre for 67 children from Machinga Boma to give them a feel of Easter Festivity.

Machinga Police Community Policing Coordinator, Inspector Miltons Moyo told the Malawi News Agency in an interview that the children were taken to MBC Television station at Kwacha, Chileka International Airport and Chichiri Museums where they appreciated technological advancement and history.

“We wanted them to appreciate things of national importance,” Moyo said, adding that the school children were also motivated to see the likes of Everson Maseya and other TV personalities.

Though Chileka International Airport is under renovation the children saw Ethiopian and Kenyan Airways jets on the parking area.

Machinga Police pledged to continue organizing such trips to expose children to features of national importance according to Moyo.
