BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Police Service in Mulanje are keeping in custody have a 36-year-old Kondwani Changamuka for allegedly sodomising his son, aged 11.
Mulanje Police publicist Innocent Moses disclosed that the victim mate the fate at suspect Changamuka house.
The suspect is said to have divorced with his wife and the son stays with his mother.
“On February 29, 2024, the boy went to the video show at the Nkhonya trading centre, he failed to get back home as it was late and decided to sleep at his father’s house.
“While sleeping, the father started caressing him and later forced his manhood into his anus. He tried to shout for help, but the father threatened him until he finished his act,” said Moses.
The police publicist adds, “The boy was taken to Mulanje District Hospital for both examinations and treatment, and police later arrested Changamuka and charged him with the case of Sodomy, which is contrary to Section 160B of the Laws of Malawi”
The suspect Chagamuka hails from Gulumba village, Traditional Authority (T.A) Chikumbu in Mulanje and will appear before court soon.
