Malawi’s Inkosi Gomani obtains injunction against stop royal wedding

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Inkosi Gomani V has today obtained a court injunction to retrain his first wife, Ovixlexla Kamenya-Gwaza Bunya, from objecting his wedding with his bride, Rishaladza Khanyisa Mathebula on 2nd November, 2019.

The injunction, which has been signed by Lilongwe High Court Judge, Kenyata Nyirenda, prohibits the defendant, Ovixlexla Bunya, from acting contrary to the same.

The court order further cautions Bunya that should she disobey it, she may be found guilty of contempt of court and be sent to prison or be fined or have her assets seized.

Ovixlexla Bunya has written the officiating clergy at Ntcheu CCAP, objecting the wedding of Inkosi Gomani V and Rishaladza Khanyisa Mathebula; arguing that their divorce is not yet concluded by the Magistrate’s Court sitting in Lilongwe. She further claims that there is child between her and the royal man.

The wedding is yet to take place on 2nd November, 2019.
