NKHATA BAY-(MaraviPost)–A 67 year old man Sikunyala Mnyimbiri was on Wednesday found dead with his head and private parts chopped, police have confirmed.
Nkhata Bay police spokesperson Ignatius Esau said the development occurred during the night hours.
He said the body was found lying in maize garden about 15 meters from his house.
“The man was leaving alone and he was just fine during the day,” said Esau.
The Nkhata Bay police spokesperson said the man hunt for the suspect has already been launched.
Mnyimbiri hailed from Nthulinga village in the area of Traditional Authority (TA) Timbili in Nkhata Bay.
Meanwhile, police in the district are calling upon anyone who might have information that might lead to the arrest of the unknown criminal(s) to inform the police.
