As drama continue in the old political party, the Salima District party executive has written the Malawi Congress Party President Dr Lazarus Chakwera describing Salima Central Parliamentarian Felix Jumbe as arrogant and not fit to be the leader in the area.The letter which this reporter saw was written on 5 August and signed by the Salima district party officials.
In the letter the party officials have refuted rumours that Jumbe was chased at Thavite when MCP leader addressed a party meeting there.
The officials says Jumbe is arrogant because after several attempt to call him for round table discussion, he has never showed up for the meeting.
“Manyumba 8 kwa Rashid adapsa iyeyu sadabwereko aliyese adabwera koma iye sadabwere”(8 houses were torched at Rashid but he never turned up is he indeed a leader for the area,”
The letter of Salima District officials comes few weeks following another strong worded speech which Salima Lakeshore region chair, Hon Chidzanja made in Nkhotakota.
Hon Chidzanja asked the Chakwera to fire Jumbe as soon as possible because what Jumbe is doing is shaming the region where he is coming from.
“Mr President before it is too late fire this Jumbe because as a party we are tired hearing about him,” Said Chidzanja at Nkhunga School ground.
