The New African Charter International (NACI) is horrified by credible reports that the Israeli occupation force is planning to relocate the Palestinian population in Gaza to South Sudan. This plan, if implemented would constitute an unconscionable act of cruelty and as well as a horrible violation of the rights of a sovereign independent nation.
This controversial plan initiated and promoted by Israel’s Zionist leaders has the tacit support of the aggressive Trump’s Administration in Washington. Uprooting the Palestinian people in their homes and relocating them to a foreign land is a dangerous and inhumane act, which must be condemned by the sane world. NACI demands that Zionist Israel abandon this obnoxious policy and immediately cease its plans to obliterate the State of Palestine from the surface of the earth.
NACI is also worried about the new Israeli law that allows the execution of Palestinian hostages in Israeli concentration camps and prison dungeons in the occupied Palestinian lands. This policy must be condemned by the global community as an act of provocation and premeditated decision to commit acts of genocide, war crime and crimes against humanity.
The United States and its allies are signatories to key human rights conventions and are legally under obligation to join other members-states of the United Nations to protect Palestinian children, men and women from Israel’s genocide and colonial apartheid enclave. NACI is also concerned about the deterioration in the ill-treatment of Palestinians-the men, women and children in Gaza and other Israeli occupied Arab lands, who are reportedly in indefinite hostage in their own country.
As Africans living with the legacy of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, colonial oppression and obnoxious apartheid regime, NACI knows too well the peril and horror of global conspiracy, when people turn against the persecuted, oppressed and stateless for their race, religion, ethnicity, or other distinction that placed people under sub-human fashion. NACI believes there is compelling evidence to indict Israeli of committing genocide, heinous crime and crime against humanity. It is therefore incumbent upon NACI to extend solidarity with the Palestinian people, raise awareness about and advocate against the slaughter, persecution, and displacement of the Palestinian people at the hands of Israeli occupation forces.
Palestinians are the indigenous inhabitants of the land of Palestine. Their communities are found mostly in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Israel, and surrounding neighbouring countries. Palestinians speak a distinct dialect of Arabic, and have their own traditions, cuisine, and folklore.
Living in Palestine today, under Israel’s brutal occupation is synonymous to being sentenced to hell on earth. Access to essential commodities like clean water, healthy food, and adequate housing is limited in the Israeli occupied lands and territory. The occupation Army imposes strict curfews, unnecessary checkpoints, and barbed wire fencing, significantly affecting the Palestinian people’s right to movement in their own God-given land. This directly violates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, by depriving the Palestinian population of their civil liberties and development rights, such as freedom to movement, food, water, and housing.
The history of Palestine teaches us that Israel was created in 1948 and located on Arab territory owned by the Palestinian people. Today Palestinians have been forcefully uprooted and made homeless, oppressed, suppressed and dehumanised, and their lands and territory illegally occupied by Israel, whose policy gears towards exterminating the Palestinian nation.
The truth is that Israel’s unstopped aggression, thirst for territorial expansion and occupation of the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and Gaza, and its treatment of Palestinians to sub-human fashion have been the cause of the Palestinians forceful resistance. The United Nation decision of late, on ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict calls for two-state solution, which Israel and the United States have rejected and instead opted to continue the genocide campaign against the Palestinian people.
By this statement, we warn that Israel should not make any step, say to relocate the Palestinian people to Africa. Africa is not Palestinian land and Africans will resist Israel’s inhumane plan. Sending Palestinians to Africa is not a solution and it would be seen as a declaration of war against Africans on the continent and the diasporas. We call upon the government of South Sudan to not betray the conscience of the African people, and should make its hands clean of the ongoing Israeli’s genocide campaign in the Palestinian Arab lands and territory.
In conclusion, NACI urges the global community, the United Nations, African Union, Arab League, the Non-Align Movement, the European Union and individuals, to intervene immediately on the side of truth, justice and freedom, to protect the Palestinian people against Israeli genocide. We reaffirm the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights to national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
We call on the US to respect the international rule of law and immediately cease supporting, aiding and abetting Israel’s genocide campaign, the heinous crime and crime against humanity. NACI also calls on the US government to stop Israeli’s obnoxious, diabolic and provocative plan to relocate Palestinians to Africa.
Long live Africa-Palestinian solidarity!
