Kasungu, December 30: Nyasa Queens, a duo of two ladies have announced of their plans to release a mix tape come next year, with a promise on mature and well branded tracks.
The soon to be released mix tape already titled “Muli Bwanji?” is being produced by two most versatile producers under SU Records of the Janta and at Low Budget of the Dare Devils.
Some of the tracks to be found in the forthcoming ‘Muli Bwanji’ and have already attracted a massive support and wide recognition by the youthful audience and continues to enjoy air play are: ‘Google,’ ‘Shut dem down’, ‘Za ife’ and the title track itself.
Also to be included in their much awaited compilation is the famous ‘Uyisova’ which is an anthem for most youths and the duo had featured budding Mwanache.
Nyasa Queens comprises two soft voiced and stage timing performers of Alice Mtanga a.k.a Nyasa Candy a journalism graduate from M.I.J and Shamaelah Gonkho a.k.a Sane G.
The crew which had a debut dazzling performance to their fans in Kasungu under the auspices of HOHO Magic Sounds on Sunday has been warmly welcome in the much male dominated music industry after the defunct Heart Beats which also shook the air waves some years gone by.
During the show which was heavily patronized and filled the Kalibu Hall of Kasungu Inn to the capacity , Masiye Kasalu a.k.a. Maskal who also had a first glance of his fans in the fast growing golden leaf town put up a stunning performance.
To show off that he was born to do it, the ‘zili ndiwe’ star who came into the lime light early 2008 and has two albums to his credit, proved too hot to handle as he maintained his prolific and amazing stage performance and timing skills to the amazement of the thirsty music fans who sang along to most of the tracks he dished out.
Not forgotten on the list of the tracks the star who of recent had several international tours were: Ndiwe Wanga, Hey, The way you are and Wa CV, a track which forced Maskal to call on stage a young but amazing guy who gave astonishing backing vocals on the lyrics which were done by Piksy in the song.
“This is my first time to perform in KU and its one of the best shows I have enjoyed. Though people doubted of my coming but they had seen it for themselves how I can do it on stage” said Maskal.
The star whose recent Umunthu Album still enjoys massive air play promised of a third album come next year and more tours. Maskal has also done collaborations with big gurus in the urban music industry the likes of Piksy, Biriwiri, and Young K.
