BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The aura of excitement is in the air as celebrated South African rapper AKA Gemini Major is set to perform at Malawi University of Business and Applied Science (MUBAS) Social Cultural Weekend in April 8 to 9, 2022.
The appearance of AKA on the event poster has excited many students and other neighboring institutions to patronize the show as this is Gemini’s first time to perform during college events in Malawi.
One of the Journalism and Media Studies students Mphatso Mphepo said has been waiting for to enjoy in his college life.
“Since started my school here, I have never attended any Social Cultural Weekend. But this one, I cannot miss it, AKA is my favorite artist,” he said.
Wongani Chipeta chipped in; “Welcome AKA to the Mighty Poly, we can’t miss your performance,”.
Nyasa Music Group has confirmed the presence of two headliners who have since confirmed their attendance.
“Poly, are you ready for the biggest social weekend to ever hit Blantyre. Moto wayakilato. The supa MEGA AKA IV LEAGUE with our own dolo wa mu hood Rudebouy Genimi Major on the 9th march. Get your tickets from Poly intercom and web tickets,” posted Music Group on their Facebook page.
In his confirmation, Gemini Major also posted on his page saying” Chisawa ku Blantyre, have to bring MEGA for this one, let’s go ( havoc in Blantyre, have to bring MEGA for this one, let’s go)”.
Multi-award winning hit maker Kell Kay will headline the show.
