How often have we heard that Committee X of Parliament is investigating this and that?! And how LESS often have you NOT heard of the conclusions of such investigations?

Haven’t you wondered why? Why have you kept quiet fellow Malawians?

We are failing our Country!

Our parliamentary Committees have been infiltrated by the very people Committees investigate from time to time. As I write I have no doubt Parliamentary Committees have been compromised by corrupt Big Business and Deep State.

My Proposal which I believe might help fight this Parliament Committee Capture:

1. Once a Committee starts to investigate a case; they must concentrate on it until it is resolved. Currently cases have been mysteriously left in mid-air without a vote or conscious on the Floor of the Committee. In other words, the Chairperson and his Deputy decide.

No transparency. No vote and just as the committee are about to get to the end of their investigations and make recommendations to the people of Malawi, you hear there is another urgent matter to investigate. That usually Mark’s the death of the previous matter that Committee was looking into. Poor Malawi! Evidence? Check with Parliamentary Committees and unconcluded cases.

Ask them why they did not conclude? Our Parliamentary Committees will be at pains to explain this. Parliamentary Committees, in my view, have been Captured by Big Business and Deep State! This must be unravelled and stopped in the interest of our nascent democracy and justice!
