Two Nigerian men arrested after being caught with a human head, hands

KWARA STATE-(MaraviPost)-Nigerian Police operatives in Kwara State arrested two men with fresh human head and hands on Sunday, 24 April 2022.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Okasanmi Ajayi confirmed the arrest in a press statement.

According to Ajayi , the suspects; Wasiu Omonose, 35 and Akanbi Ibrahim, 32 were arrested by a team of policemen on patrol at Oke Oyi/Jebba road around 11:30 am while they were attempting to evade the officers on stop and search duty.

The suspects were found with a bag containing fresh human head and hands when they were searched the duo later confessed that they were taking the body parts to an Alfa in Ilorin for money ritual purposes, Daily Post reported.

The suspects also disclosed that they were taking the fresh human head and hands to an Alfa in Ilorin for ritual purposes.

The Commissioner of Police has said he’s determined to prosecute the suspected ritualists as soon as investigation into the matter is concluded.

He added that any person or group found in any manner attempting to initiate the breakdown of law and order in the state would be arrested and made to bear the full wrath of the law.

In a separate incident, police in Ogun State arrested at least 37 suspected cult members believing to be terrorizing the state.
