Veep Ansah, UNDP resident representative Frost strengthen ties in high-level meeting

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-On Thursday, November 20, 2025, Malawi Vice President Jane Ansah granted a courtesy call to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative Fenella Frost, at Capital Hill in Lilongwe.

The meeting created an important platform for the two offices to review ongoing areas of collaboration and explore new avenues for future partnerships.

Their discussions centred on key national priorities aligned with the Malawi 2063 Agenda.

These priorities included governance enhancement, resilience building, social protection systems, and sustainable development interventions.

Ms. Frost reaffirmed UNDP’s continued commitment to supporting Malawi’s long-term development efforts.

She highlighted the organisation’s dedication to empowering communities and strengthening national systems across various sectors.

The Vice President expressed profound appreciation for UNDP’s long-standing support towards Malawi’s development journey.

She emphasised the importance of sustained cooperation in driving transformative change for the benefit of citizens.

The courtesy call underscored the shared commitment between the Government of Malawi and UNDP to advance the nation’s development trajectory.

Both parties agreed to continue working together through strategic cooperation and impactful programmes that move Malawi closer to its 2063 aspirations.
