LILONGWE- (MaraviPost) Vice President Dr. Jane Ansah has denied allegations that she is unwanted in the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and plans to leave the party, calling the claims “fake news”.

The rumors, circulating on social media, claimed Ansah said people in the DPP don’t want her and she’s seeing a bleak future in the party.

Ansah refuted the claims, stating she hasn’t granted any interview to any media house about the allegations, emphasizing that her team is always present during interviews to verify authenticity.

She highlighted that whenever she grants an interview, multiple media houses are present to capture the story, making it unlikely for such claims to go unnoticed.

The claims appear to be originating from a social media page called “Nyasa 265”, which has been identified as a parallel page with only 2,500 followers, and not affiliated with the reputable Nyasatimes.

Investigations reveal that the page lacks credibility and is likely being used to spread false information and propaganda.

The incident highlights the dangers of misinformation and the need for critical thinking in consuming online content.

The public is advised to be cautious of fake news and rely on credible sources for accurate information.
