BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—Mighty Be Forward Wanderers’ Japanese start Genki Nakamura, who has been warming the bench since the TNM super league kick-off, can now breathe a sigh of relief as he has been cleared by the Malawi Immigration Department and given a work permit, Maravi Post has learnt.
Nakamura signed a one year contract with the Nomads but the Immigration department had been waiting for a police report which would show whether the attacking midfielder has no criminal record or not before he would actually feature competitively for the Rali Lubani side.
“Nomads fans have been waiting for the star to showcase his skills as he has been sidelined because his work permit was not ready. Now I can confirm that the player has now accessed the work permit and he will start featuring in our games,” said one of the Wanderers’ officials.
The Nomads, who are struggling in the league, now have three foreign players. The other two are Nigerians Amos Bello and Saheed Oluwa Shinaayomi who ust joined the club recently.
