“First, I’d like to thank everyone for being there to help Omega’s family and friends celebrate her life. I met Omega in South Bend Dubbed the capital of Malawians in the US, where she was helping a friend promote the tour of Malawi Musicians Tay Grin and Zani Challe. I was soon to learn that Omega would lend a helping hand to many Malawians in the US and Malawi.

“I immediately liked Omega’s sense of humour. I could not convince her I was Malawian. She was so sure I was Zimbabwean.

“We kept in touch after the events in Indian. Mainly it was me asking for Favors on how to network with other Malawians both stateside and at home.

When she found out that my relatives who were having a rough time with covid and lacking such things oxygen, she connected my nieces and nephews in Malawi with a Doctor and made sure they were able to get the Oxygen and proper treatment. One of my nieces credits her for saving their lives.

Only less than two weeks ago she reached out to me for missing the Namadingo concert that she sponsored in the Atlanta area. She wanted to talk but when I called back it was too late.

“I shall always miss Omega Nankhuni. She made me laugh, and she was always there to help me figure out how to network with fellow Malawians of all creeds.

Omega Nankhuni you will be missed by many of us. Your willingness to extend a helping hand will always remind us of your kindness.

The Family has shared funeral program in The Malawi WhatsApp group and other forums. Please join them as they wish their daughter, Sister Farewell.

Rest in Eternal Peace.  Omega Nankhuni
