LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Secretary for Education Chikondano Mussa on Tuesday warned Chief education officers not to accept any project coming into their districts without verification from the Ministry.
Mussa was speaking in Lilongwe during the opening session of an effective leadership and management course for chief education officers (CEOs). Mussa said adequate scrutiny of the incoming programs will help to protect learners.
Mussa urged the CEOs to be professional all the time and to be on top of the game discharging their duties.
Mussa who was accompanied by the Director of basic education Grace Milner and the head of programs Humphreys Mndaka at Malawi School Of Government, said the CEOs have a duty to protect learners.
Anita Kaliu the CEO of Blantyre Urban commended the Ministry for the training.
Kaliu said the training will help them to be an effective district manager.
