BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-President Lazarus Chakwera has urged newly graduated students from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) to be the driving force behind the country’s transformation from a consuming to a producing nation.

The President emphasized the importance of excellence and innovation in helping Malawi achieve its development goals.

MUBAS Vice Chancellor, Associate Professor Nancy Chitera, echoed the President’s sentiments, expressing optimism that the graduates will produce impactful innovations that will contribute to the Agriculture, Tourism, and Manufacturing (ATM) strategy. This strategy is a key initiative aimed at boosting the country’s economy and creating jobs.

A total of 344 students are graduating with various certificates, diplomas, and degrees, marking a significant milestone for MUBAS.

The graduates include 237 males and 107 females, who have worked hard to achieve their academic goals.

This is the second MUBAS congregation since the institution was delinked from the University of Malawi in 2021.

As the graduates embark on their journey, they are expected to apply their knowledge and skills to drive innovation and transformation in their respective fields.
