LILONGWE – MaraviPost: Former Minister of Trade, Sosten Gwengwe, has called on the youth and communities in Dowa to adopt an economic mindset in order to actively contribute to the country’s development.

Speaking at a community gathering held at Dowa Community Ground on Sunday, March 25, Gwengwe emphasized the need for Malawians especially the youth to begin viewing issues from an economic perspective and to seize opportunities for growth.

“Malawi is richly endowed with mineral resources. What we need now is leadership that prioritizes youth empowerment and economic development,” Gwengwe stated.

He urged young people to think beyond traditional paths and begin engaging in entrepreneurial and innovative ventures that can drive economic transformation.

Gwengwe’s remarks come at a time when Malawi continues to explore ways to harness its natural resources and address youth unemployment.
