NAIROBI-(MaraviPost)-A distressed mother in Kenya has abandoned her newborn baby on the roadside, leaving behind a heart-wrenching letter expressing her desperation and hopelessness.

The mother, who remains unidentified, wrote that she had reached a point of no return, forced to abandon her baby due to unbearable circumstances.

In the letter, she revealed that the baby’s father had rejected her upon learning of the pregnancy, and her parents had thrown her out of their home upon discovering her condition.

“I’m poor and have no hope left. I’ve tried my best, but I’ve failed,” she wrote, pleading that whoever finds the baby should take care of her.

The baby, named Purity, was left with a bundle of clothes and the poignant letter. The mother ended her message with a blessing, saying, “God bless whoever takes and raises my child”.

The incident highlights the plgrim struggles faced by many young mothers in Kenya, often left to fend for themselves in the face of unplanned pregnancies and societal rejection.

Authorities are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, while the search for a new home for little Purity continues.
