Bravo! LL water board does the needful in area 23

Following a story which Maravi Post fearlessly carried yesterday about an acute shortage of water which some locations in area 23 were experiencing; Lilongwe water board has moved quickly and have started supplying the much needed God given liquid in the area, much to the relief of the thousands of souls which were tortured due to the absence of water for seven solid days.

Earlier in the morning, spokesperson of the board, Bright Sonani told Maravi Post that “we have dispatched our men on the ground to find out what really the problem is and we hope the problem will be sorted out as soon as possible.”

As of midday, Joana Moyo, the reporter who sent us the story on the ground confirmed that women in the area were celebrating the presence of water in their taps and they hope this won’t be “short-lived.”

We at Maravi Post would like to applaud the responsiveness of the Lilongwe water board management for helping the people of Area 23 and at the same time, we give thumbs down to some childish DPP cadets who stormed our comments section on our platforms busy discrediting and reducing the story as a laughing matter in the name of defending the indefensible at the expense of the plight of thousands of people in Area 23.
