Malawi outspoken politician Ken Msonda says Gays are worse than dogs

2 Min Read

As the debate on Gay rights rages on in Malawi many politicians and social Media activists have joined in the Frey.  The issue started with the arrest of two gay guys from within the confines of their home.

The US and Germany Ambassadors shared their disapproval on Facebook and encouraged the Mutharika government to release the two men. Peter Mutharika relented and ordered suspension of sodomy laws in the country followed by the unconditional release of the two men from jail.

Leading pastors and others however have encouraged government not to acquiesce to demands from the west.  They say our traditions and beliefs have no room for Gays.

Kenneth Msonda on his Facebook page joining the discussions wrote the following:

(In my person capacity not as Peoples party spokesperson or administrative secretary)

Government should come up clear on the DPP administration stand on the issue of gays Aaron and lesbians.

Gays and lesbians are worse than dogs, sons and daughters of the evil one – jabulosi their father!

Arresting them won’t address this problem because sooner or later they are being released on bail.

The best way to deal with this problem is to KILL them!

It is pathetic to see our media houses parading these dogs on TV and newspapers hiding behind human rights – human rights my foot!

THE DEVIL HAS NO RIGHTS!

However others like Steve Sharra seem to counter the notion that Gays are a figment of imagination from the West. A few sample  tweets from Steve Sharra. ‘
