LILONGWE-(Maravi Post)-There is a new voice in the music industry. It is that of an up-and-coming artist, Rash-Ley real name Happy Jumbe, brings in a message of reality of love and change people’s hearts.
Currently, he shot a new music video which is yet to be released.
But it will be released this February month titled ‘Ndizasangalala’ in which he is appreciating love and trust that lovers can have regardless of regrets and obstacles.
Born on January 1, 1997, Rash-Ley eagers to win heartbroken hence his song is calling on people to join hands in spreading the message of love to people that lost hope.
“My passion is winning souls that lost hope because of being heartbroken by their loved ones and since I am talented in music, I will use music as a tool to teach and inform people with love songs by touching their souls.
“People should learn that there is true love out there and the life we have is for free we have to trust in true love,” says the Blantyre-based artist.
Rash-ley who is still studying Panel beating and Spray painting at Lilongwe Technical College says was inspired to venture into music by both Malawian and international artist: Onesmus, Chris Brown and Justin Bebier whom he described as mature artistic group as far as music is concerned.
“I used to admire those artists so much; I wanted to be like them so I started composing my own songs in secondary school.
“Before composing my own songs I started singing in church choir and I stopped in 2016 when I first released a single called ‘Bodza,” he says.
“After I went to college and when I started performing in large clouds I realized that it was time to record my songs and I recorded song titled ‘Chiletso’ shot by the Award Winning Video Director, Vj Ken, last year which had a chance to outstand at Trace African Music TV channel.
He said the song ‘Chiletso’ calls on the appreciation of love the girl gives that he cannot go to search for another one because she is the strong tower of his heart.
So far, the artist won 2019 Sky Lockers award as the Best Afro or R’n’B Artist of the year, and he has released several songs including: Ndilibe Chonena and Zomwe ndimaganiza, which he said his glad that they are being played in different media houses.
