BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Former President Arthur Peter Mutharika (APM) is shocked and disappointed with Ken Msonda’s claims that he has been having regular conversation with him on his candidacy ahead of the 2025 presidential elections.
In a statement that has been signed by its Spokesperson Shadrick Namalomba, Mutharika says Msonda is well aware that for the 12 months now the two have not spoken to each other.
Mutharika has also revealed that Msonda is aware that he is not DPP’s National Governing Council Member
“He (Msonda) knows himself because he was neither elected at the 2018 Political Conference nor Subsequently appointed as one.
The former leader has informed the public that Msonda has always wished, albeit without success to be his political confidant.
Meanwhile, Mutharika has advised Msonda to stop telling lies, speaking on behalf of him and stop representing himself as DPP national governing council member, saying to do this is to commit a crime.
Msonda is yet to comment on APM’s statement.
