Government is demanding that all major players in the private sector should submit employment records and projections for the next financial year not later than August 14th, 2020.

Labour Minister, Ken Kandodo, says government expects this is done while ensuring that human resource is not downsized.

He spoke after his tour Vizara Rubber Plantation in Nkhata Bay and Dwangwa Illovo Sugar Factory in Nkhotakota.

The question to our legal experts and HRDC is the legality of such demands. Does the Government have a right to do this? Malawi citizens should not be ceding power to a government they perceive to be friendly.

Just a warning to hand clappers governments change. It is an avoidable fact
