So far, Chakwera has met women leaders from the districts of Karonga, Nkhata-Bay, Likoma and another section of Mzimba Women leaders.
The Malawi leader has always regarded women as a crucial human resource in the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
His administration has appointed over 40 percent of women into cabinet and other decision-making positions including the Inspector General of Police; Secretary to the President and Cabinet (SPC) and indeed Speaker of the National Assembly among other notable high profile roles.
The Chakwera led administration has also put in place various policies that are aimed at curbing gender equality pushbacks, creating an equal society for all.
