LONDON-(MaraviPost)-Chelsea Football Club has officially appointed Liam Rosenior as their new head coach, signing the 41 year old Englishman to a six-year contract.
The announcement marks a new chapter for the West London club after a period of managerial instability.
The club released a statement welcoming Rosenior, emphasizing that while player development remains a top priority, expectations and ambitions at Chelsea remain extremely high.
The board expressed confidence in Rosenior’s ability to guide the team to success both domestically and in European competitions.
Rosenior, who previously managed Racing Strasbourg in France, described the appointment as a huge honour.
“Being entrusted with this role means the world to me and I will give everything to bring success to this club.” he explained.
Chelsea’s new manager inherits a team currently competing in the Premier League and European tournaments.
The club’s leadership has highlighted that Rosenior’s appointment is part of a long-term vision aimed at sustainable success.
Rosenior’s coaching journey has been marked by both domestic and international experience.
Prior to Strasbourg, he held roles with Hull City and Derby County, gaining a reputation for developing young players and tactical flexibility.
In his first season with Strasbourg, Rosenior led the French side to notable performances, including European qualification a testament to his strategic approach and ability to manage under pressure.
The Chelsea statement stressed that Rosenior’s long-term contract reflects the club’s desire for stability in management, following a series of short term appointments over recent years.
The board hopes his leadership will provide continuity on and off the pitch.
