Chinese billionaire, Jack Ma donates more medical equipment to African countries

Chinese renown business tycoon and Alibaba co-founder, Jack Ma has made a second round of donation of protective and medical equipment to fight against the coronavirus pandemic to African countries.

Ma disclosed this in his recent twitter post on Monday 6 April, 2020.

The former executive chairman of Alibaba Group, a multinational technology conglomerate revealed that the second donation will include 500 ventilators, 200,000 suits and face shields, 2,000 thermometers, 1 million swabs and extraction kits and 500,000 gloves.

The medical equipments are expected to be shipped to Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa from where they will be distributed to the 54 African countries.

In his earlier donation last month, CNN report revealed that Ma handed out a total of 1.1 million testing kits, 6 million masks and 60,000 medical use protective suits and face shields that were distributed among the 54 African nations including Malawi.

The Chinese business mogul also made similar donations to other region across the world including the United States of America, Europe and Asia.
