MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-Zimbabwean coach Callisto Pasuwa must decide whether to remain at Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club or leave it temporarily to be with the Malawi National Football Team.
This follows a decision by the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) to hire him as a caretaker coach to prepare The Flames for the COSAFA tournament next month and the remaining formality 2024 Afcon qualifying games against Guinea and Ethiopia.
The decision which has been made after parting ways with Romanian Mario Marian Marinica also includes Alex Ngwira and Patrick Mabedi as assistants to Pasuwa.
An official from FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Albert Chigoga, told the local media that Pasuwa has a choice to make and the club will not dictate on what he should do.

“We will wait for his decision but as a club we would want him to work with our players at the club in preparation for the forth coming football season. He is quite aware of what is contained in his contract and the choice is all his,” said Chigoga.
Pasuwa successfully guided Bullets as TNM Super League champions four times.
In a related development, Member of Parliament for Blantyre City South East, Sameer Suleman, has proposed that the Malawi National Football Team should take a two year break from international football in order to rebuild and in the process save Malawians from embarrassment and hypertension.
Suleman who also worked at FAM made the proposal on Monday in parliament during question time to the Ministry of Youth and Sports which is headed by Minister Uchizi Mkandawire.
He said the break will provide ample time for Malawi as a country to assemble and develop a strong team that can compete favourably at the international stage.
