PP Spokesperson Kenneth Msonda commenting on an article published by the Maravi Post last Tuesday which linked former President Joyce Banda without any verifiable facts to a man who was arrested by the police, did not restrain himself when he accused us of being a mouth piece for the DPP led government. While this cannot be far from the truth we have however printed a redress for the poor judgement we showed by running the article which implicated the former President without any basis.
Below is the full comment from Msonda:
Maravi Post is a disgrace to, the media fraternity in Malawi!
It is a known fact that this online media house is a DPP mouth piece but to demonstrate their foolishness openly is total madness.
How do you link the former head of state to the robbery just because a relative is a suspect connected to the act?
This only shows how desperate the current DPP administration is spending sleepless nights to make sure the former state President is arrested as soon as she returns back home.
What is it that the DPP want from JB?
DPP linked JB to the cashgate scam, it never worked, came up with unfounded allegations of trying assassinate HE APM, then the death of former President Bingu but to no avail.
JB is no longer head of state, she is now engaged with her charity organization JBFI, and her absence has nothing to do with numerous challenges currently affecting our nation; economic, security lapses, lack of drugs in government hospitals, MSB bank sale, civil service salary and many others.
As a nation, we have important matters of national concern to worry about, do not divert people’s attention on trivial matter
