LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-As the 2022 football season draws closer, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has granted License to the area 30 outfits Blue Eagles FC to become the first team amongst the sixteen.

This comes after the Malawi Police Service (MPS) sponsored side paid the licensing and affiliation fees amounting to MK3 million to the country’s football governing body.

Apart from the fee, the club has also met other requirements including financial requirement,club infrastructure, sporting Criteria such as youth development, administrative and personnel, and legal requirement required to get the license.

Alexander Ngwala, Blue Eagles FC Chairperson, was over the moon upon learning about the development.

Ngwala hailed the entire executive Committee for working tirelessly to achieve this.

He has thanked the Patron of the team, Dr.George Kainja, and entire Malawi Police Service management for the timely support.

Blue Eagles FC has been granted with a full license scoring 79%.

Reports indicate that Nyasa Big Bullets, Silver Strikers FC and Ekwendeni Hammers have been issued with provisional licenses while the remaining twelve clubs have failed to get the licenses as they did not meet the requirements.

Club Licensing and Compliance Manager Casper Jangale is yet to comment on the development.
