Malawi Police in Liwonde arrest man suspected of stealing LG Plasma TV

LIWONDE: Malawi Police in Liwonde have in custody Andrew Mabedi, 36 for the offence of Burglary and Theft which is contrary to section 309 and 278 of the Penal Code Respectively.

According to a police report, what transpired was that, on 14th July, 2016, unknown criminals broke into the house of Edwin Hauli in Liwonde and stole the following items; LG Plasma TV, LG radio, DSTV Explorer Decoder, Three Remote controllers, Two Curtains, and DSTV Connector. All items valued to K700,000.00. As the police officers were investigating the case they found the suspect in question selling the stolen items and arrested him. All items that were stolen have been recovered.

Andrew Mabedi comes from Wanama village, Traditional Authority Nkanda in Mulanje district. The Police promise that he will appear in court soon when investigations are completed.
