Mzuzu-(Marapost)—A Malawian man has on Thursday died in a newly purchased car in Tanzania while on his way back to Malawi.

Reports indicate the man, George Mbewe, went to Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania to collect his vehicle which he purchased online a couple of weeks ago. On his way back, he hit an oncoming truck in a head on collusion.

According to eye witnesses, the victim was thrown out of the speeding vehicle through the windscreen and died on the spot due to heavy impact.

Meanwhile, family members have travelled to Tanzania to ferry the remains of the diseased.

Mbewe, 45, was originally from Dedza but at the time of his death, he was based in Rumphi where he owned a shop of electronics. He has been survived by wife and five children.
