DOWA-(MaraviPost)-In a shocking episode, a bride-to-be was on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 found dead after committed suicide by hanging at the house of her bridegroom-to-be in Kasungu district.
According to sources, the incident has occurred at Chinkhoma Trade Centre where the lady aged 29, Shakirah Wenga, traveled from Karonga to visit the boyfriend working at the Engineers Battalion of the Malawi Defence Force.
The late Wenga is said to have hanged herself inside the boyfriend’s house while he was at work.
Malawi Police Services in the district are yet to establish the motive behind the ordeal.
But some reports indicate the boyfriend had another girl whom he intended to marry next week.
While other version told this publication that the deceased father was against her daughter marrying the man despite get engaged.
