MZUZU-(MaraviPost)- He is just 23. To many, he is one of those Malawian versions who have passion in improving Malawian Music by ensuring quality of music production, bridge artists, presenters, websites users, organizers and record label.
Whilst most gentlemen of his age group are busy role-playing in hiding their talents, the 23-year-old Emman Flame, a gospel hip hop artist whose real name is Emmanuel Luis Chiphaka a Managing Director of Umodzi Arts, based in Lilongwe, is busy living his dream.
As most men of his age group are busy draining the pockets of their parents all in the name of sustaining their life style, Emman Flame is deep in his own planet, fine-tuning as he has his own entertainment company known as Umodzi Arts.
Emman Flame is now living his dream independently without any sponsorship. He is raising his entrepreneurial ladder in the world of entertainment as he is a proud owner in promoting 85 per cent coverage of local music in Malawi.
However, while at his college level at Natural Resources College of Luanar (NRC) in 2016 he officially decided to open Umodzi Arts and it started to be active in 2018 where he shaped what Malawi is lacking in music industry.
“As a person who has had passion for entertainment from my college day and having worked in the entertainment sector at NRC of Luanar, I had to seat down and looked at the lack in Malawian music industry to grow.
“I saw a deficit that Malawian artists do not have the heart of promoting their talents and currently in Malawi we don’t have a promoting entertainment company which is there to expose the hidden talents,” Emman Flame explained.
He further said Umodzi Arts is there to help artists to show their hidden talents in music. In that case artists can make money or have opportunities to work with other companies in Malawi.
“This will help artists to be able to become ambassadors of those companies they have been exposed to as well as compose fully baked music as Malawian artists produce half baked music. However, this made me to consult services so that artists can have good quality audio’s and videos,” Emman Flame explained.
After opening Umodzi Arts which is a subsidiary company of Umodzi Group, the upcoming entrepreneurs is not collaborating with others but they are still in talks with other good video and audio directors such as Vj Ken, Clack Mapiri.
Emman Flame said Umodzi Arts was to be launched last year in October but it failed due to financial hardships.
He later appealed to well wishers to support them with anything they can manage
