Martha Chizuma given a week to resign

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s concerned Citizens on Monday, May 9, 2022 gave Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma seven days to step down.

Presenting the petition to Parliament, Leader of the grouping Redson Munlo warned that Chizuma’s to resign, will force them close her office.

Munlo for Chizuma sacking

Munlo said the grouping will snatch the ACB vehicle and entitlement the Director earns on the position.

He said Chizuma has no right to question anyone as she is failing to allow police to question her integrity.

Munlo argues that breach of oath of her office made people to lost the trust of her confidence.

Received the petition, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ntcheu East who is also Public Appointments Committee (PAC) member Arthur Chipungu said will deliver the petition to the office of the speaker.

Anti-Martha demonstrations started from Lilongwe district council parading to parliament via Chirambula road.
