BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—Police in Blantyre have arrested a senior officer at Malawi Medical Society of Malawi (MASM), Andrew Nyirenda, for allegedly defiling his 14-year-old niece.

According to sources Nyirenda was staying with the niece in his house and started bonking her regularly up to the extent that the young girl contracted HIV.

The girl’s health status was exposed when she went home where her parents, upon suspecting foul play, took her to the hospital where she tested HIV positive.

“When the niece went home, she was not looking healthy and this forced the mother to take her to the hospital where she tested positive. When the girl was pressed to reveal how she contracted the disease, she revelaed that her uncle Ngomwa used to have unprotected sex with her regularly.

“The mother of the girl could not stomach it and at a family meeting Ngomwa is said to have apologized to the family but the mother of the girl could not take it and vowed to report Ngomwa to Police so that he should be punished for what he did,” said a source.

In an attempt to dodge the possible jail term, Ngomwa is said to have fled the country using the official MASM vehicle into Mozambique where he was arrested.
