LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Ministry of unity is currently holding a two day conference with several stakeholders aimed at discussing issues on enhancing national unity and dialogue.
The stakeholders attending the conference including ,policy makers, diplomats, religion, traditional leaders politicians and academia.
Participants are expected to exchange views and reached shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the country .
Minister of Unity, Timothy Mtambo told the gathering that all inclusive National day of unity and Dialogue conference will focus on four years implemented strategies to deal with some structural cause of conflicts.
He said the conference is expected to review Malawi’s long term development agenda 2063.
Mtambo said Malawi can only develop sustainably if citizens share same values and aspiration.
Malawi will commemoration national unity day on October 15, 2022 under a theme, “Living together in Unity, build peace”.
President Lazarus Chakwera is expected to grace the event.
The conference is supported by NBS Bank, UN family, FDH bank and the embassy of Ireland..
