Mutharika appeals for peace, love, togetherness on Eid Mubarak celebration

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-President Peter Mutharika has appealed for peace, love, and the spirit of togetherness on Eid Mubarak celebration.

The Malawi leader made the appeal in his national address to Muslims as the month of Ramadan comes to an end.

Mutharika explains, “The First Lady and I, join all Malawians in conveying our warmest wishes to our Muslim brothers and sisters across the nation on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

“As you conclude the holy month of Ramadan; a period of profound sacrifice, prayer, and self-reflection, may the lessons of discipline and empathy continue to guide you”.

Appeals the Malawi leader, “Let the prayers of this holy month be a reminder of our shared commitment to peace, love, and the spirit of togetherness that defines our great nation.

“May Allah graciously accept your fasts and prayers, and may He bestow His abundant blessings upon you, your families, and our country. Eid Mubarak!”.

Meanwhile, Eid Mubarak for this year will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21, 2026 a cross the country.

Therefore, Monday, March 23, will be public holiday in Malawi.
