Nigerian 102-year-old woman Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche seeks 2023 Presidential office

LAGOS-(MaraviPost)-Nigerian 102-year-old woman, Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche, has declared her intentions to vie for the country’s presidency come 2023.

The centenarian revealed the intention to the local Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) offices in the federal capital, Abuja, during a visit to the Management team of the institution.

The founder of the ‘Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria’ group said she is ready to take up the presidency if the country’s younger generation is not willing to run the country.

Ezeanyaeche also said has good plans for Nigeria if eventually becomes the President saying has already prepared a manifesto for herself in preparation for the presidential race.

According to Sahara reporters, Ezeanyaeche, who is also called ‘living legend’ or “Mama Africa’, received several awards for her contributions to humanity and nation-building, including the African Peace Award, 2021.

She hails from Aguata, Anambra state.

Nigeria’s incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari is ineligible to run for 2023 presidency after serving his two allowed terms in office.

Ezeanyaeche joins a long list of presidential candidates, including All Progressive Congress (APC) party chairman, Ahmed Tinubu, Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi and Senate Chief Whip Orji Uzor Kalu.
