Speaking to Journalists after an audience with Mutharika, Robble said among some of the issues that topped the discussion included development of the airline service between the two countries. He said this at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe on Friday.
“Ethiopian Airline has extended its services by including Lilongwe and Chileka International Airport in Blantyre. And during the meeting, we highlighted the need to establish Lilongwe and Blantyre the hub for Ethiopian Airlines,” explained Robble.
He further said, “Considering the fact that the relationship between the two countries started many years ago, we also discussed areas of mutual interest and how the bilateral cooperation could be strengthened further.”
On the economic platform, he said the Ethiopian government will continue to tap every opportunity that exist in the country and further expose opportunities in his country to Malawian interested investors.
During the meeting the two leaders also emphasized on the need to continue with skill exchange Programmes.
Robble has been Ethiopian Ambassador to Malawi from 2010 and he was also his country’s ambassador to Kenya, Tanzania and Seychelles.
