A 47 year old teacher from Chisombezi primary school in Bangwe has been arrested for defiling three of his standard 8 students.
According to evidence released by the Malawi Police to media, Harry Thokozani, the teacher has been defiling these girls for a while.
On 19 November 2015, that’s when this heinous act was exposed. One of the girls revealed to her friends not knowing that her friends were also being molested by the same teacher. The girls then got together and reported to the head teacher who took them to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital for examination.
However for some reason the Hospital never released the results of their examination to the students and their parents.
This angered the parents who then reported the matter at Bangwe police station forcing the questioning of the said teacher.
When the teacher was interrogated by the Police, He confessed that he had been defiling the girls. One girl revealed to have been defiled 6 times. According to his police the teacher confessed he did not use a condom all the time he the girls.
Meanwhile the suspect is in custody at Bangwe police awaiting his day in court to answer the Molestation charges.
Thokozani comes from Chapita village T/A Masasa, Ntcheu and he teaches Life skills, Expressive Arts and English in STD 8.
