1 Min Read

Former Liverpool and Barcelona striker Luis Suárez has once again found himself in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.

The Uruguayan forward now playing for Inter Miami, reportedly insulted Seattle Sounders staff following his side’s 3-0 defeat in the Leagues Cup knockout stage.

The heavy loss marked a bitter end to Inter Miami’s campaign, leaving Lionel Messi’s side eliminated from the competition and visibly frustrated.

Tensions boiled over with Suárez appearing to direct harsh words toward Seattle’s technical bench after the final whistle.

This latest controversy adds to Suárez’s long list of disciplinary issues.

The 37-year-old is no stranger to football scandals having been banned in the past for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during the 2014 World Cup a moment that remains one of the most infamous incidents in modern football.

While Inter Miami’s ambitions of adding more silverware have been dashed attention now shifts to how the club will regroup in Major League Soccer.
