Trump draws controversy with Jesus Christ comparison at Easter event

WASHINGTON-(MaraviPost)-US President Donald Trump’s spiritual advisor has sparked outrage and ridicule after comparing him to Jesus Christ at an Easter event.

Paula White, a televangelist and Trump’s spiritual advisor, told the audience that Trump had been “betrayed and arrested and falsely accused, just like our Lord and Saviour”.

The comment has been met with widespread criticism, with many taking to social media to express their shock and dismay.

The comparison has been described as “beyond parody” and has raised questions about the boundaries of political and religious rhetoric.

The event, which was held on Easter Sunday, was meant to be a celebration of the Christian holiday, but has instead been overshadowed by controversy.

Trump himself has a history of making provocative statements, but this latest comparison has left many wondering about the motivations behind it.

Some have accused White of blasphemy, while others have defended her right to free speech.

The incident highlights the increasingly blurred lines between politics and religion in the US, and raises questions about the role of faith in public life.

As the Easter celebrations continue, the controversy is likely to continue to dominate headlines and spark heated debate.

The White House has not commented on the incident, but it is likely to add to the ongoing scrutiny of Trump’s actions and statements.

Ramaphosa tells Donald Trump to focus on America’s problems amid sanctions threat

By Twink Jones Gadama

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has fired back at US President Donald Trump, telling him to focus on resolving America’s own problems instead of interfering in South Africa’s affairs. The remarks come after Trump threatened to cut off all aid and impose sanctions on South Africa over the alleged mistreatment of white residents who remained after the apartheid era.

In a statement, Ramaphosa told Doald Trump to “stick around there in the White House” and focus on addressing the many challenges facing America. “We are not interested in being lectured by anyone, let alone a president who has a track record of divisive and discriminatory policies,” Ramaphosa said.

Trump’s comments, posted on his social media platform Truth Social, claimed that “certain classes of people” – a reference to white farmers – were being mistreated in South Africa. He also expressed concern about the “large-scale killing of white farmers” in the country.

However, Ramaphosa dismissed Trump’s claims as “misinformed” and “based on a flawed understanding of the situation in South Africa.” He pointed out that the South African government has taken steps to address the issue of farm murders, including establishing a task team to investigate and prevent such crimes.

Ramaphosa also accused Trump of trying to deflect attention from his own administration’s failures. “It is clear that President Trump is trying to divert attention from his own government’s failures, including its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and its divisive policies,” Ramaphosa said.

The South African government has also rejected Trump’s threat to impose sanctions, saying that it would not be intimidated by such tactics. “We will not be bullied or intimidated by anyone, including President Trump,” said Naledi Pandor, South Africa’s Minister of International Relations.

The row between Ramaphosa and Trump has sparked widespread condemnation from South Africans and international leaders. Many have accused Trump of trying to interfere in South Africa’s internal affairs and of promoting a divisive and racist agenda.

The African National Congress (ANC), South Africa’s ruling party, has also weighed in on the controversy, accusing Trump of being “ignorant” and “arrogant.” “President Trump’s comments are a clear example of his ignorance and arrogance,” said ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe. “He has no right to lecture us on how to run our country.”

The controversy has also sparked a heated debate on social media, with many South Africans and international leaders expressing their outrage and disgust at Trump’s comments.

As the row continues to escalate, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold. However, one thing is clear: the South African government will not be intimidated by Trump’s threats and will continue to stand up for its sovereignty and dignity.

In related news, the South African government has announced that it will be reviewing its relations with the US in light of Trump’s comments. “We will be reviewing our relations with the US to ensure that they are aligned with our values and interests,” said Pandor.

The move has been welcomed by many South Africans, who see it as a necessary step to protect the country’s sovereignty and dignity. However, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold and what impact it will have on relations between South Africa and the US.

Interesting! Yemen court sentences US President Trump, Saudi king with Crown prince to death for alleged war crimes

SAN’A-(MaraviPost)-In what may sound funny but very true, a Yemeni court issued death sentences against ten defendants including President Donald Trump, Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and crown prince, Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud for alleged war crimes.

The case against the defendants was held in their absence at Houthi-run Specialised Criminal Court in the Yemeni governorate of Saada over the Saudi-led coalition’s attack on a bus full of young boys in Dahyan in the Majz district

The Houthi-owned Yemen News Agency (SABA) confirmed that the court issued death sentences to Donald Trump, Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and Norton Schwartz for their alleged roles in the attack.

Commander of the Saudi Air Force, Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Yemeni President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi, Yemen’s Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh Al-Ahmar, Prime Minister Ahmed bin Dagher, Defence Minister Muhammad Al-Maqdishi, and former US Defence Secretary James Norman Mattis were also sentenced to death.

The news agency indicated that the defendants are also required to pay a US$10 billion fine to families of those killed in the 2019 airstrike.

The charges related to an airstrike which reportedly hit a school bus, killing 51 people including 40 children

The news agency reported that: “The prosecution has registered its partial appeal to the fifth paragraph of the verdict, regarding the right of those included in the indictment.

“Thus, the court has not decided on it yet. Private prosecution attorney, Hamdan Shani, joined his appeal to the prosecution’s appeal, while the defence attorney, Abdel Wahab Al-Fadhli, reserved the right to appeal on behalf of the defendants.”

US President Trump free of Covid-19-symptoms and fever

WASHINGTON-(MaraviPost)-US President Donald Trump has had no COVID-19 symptoms for the past 24 hours, with a physical examination and his vital signs showing his condition remains stable, White House physician Sean Conley has said.

Conley, in a statement released with Trump’s permission on Wednesday, said the president has been fever-free for more than four days and had neither needed nor received any supplemental oxygen since his initial hospitalisation.

Trump was hospitalised on Friday after tests showed he had contracted COVID-19. He returned to the White House on Monday.

But Trump, under coronavirus quarantine in the White House and restricted from travelling, is seeking ways to put a spark back in his struggling re-election bid and get behind his desk in the Oval Office with four weeks left until election day.

He has been looking for options on how to get his message out and cut into Democrat Joe Biden’s lead in battleground states where the November 3 election will be decided, advisers said.

They said they had been discussing Trump delivering a national address, while a speech to senior voters is being contemplated for Thursday. Vice President Mike Pence’s debate with Democratic vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris in Salt Lake City will take centre stage of the campaign on Wednesday evening.

Complications abound. Trump aides say he is impatient to get back on the campaign trail and insistent on debating Biden on October 15 in Miami, but Biden said on Tuesday he will not participate if Trump is not virus-free.

The White House’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, said on Wednesday that Trump was eager to get back to work in the Oval Office. He has been working from a makeshift space in his residence in the White House since returning on Monday from three days in hospital.

“He wanted to go to the Oval yesterday. If he decides to go the Oval, we’ve got safety protocols there,” Meadows told reporters, adding there would be adequate personal protective equipment and ventilation.

He described Trump, who has received treatment with a steroid that is normally used in the most severe cases, as being “in very good health”.

Any political boost Trump could get from a fresh injection of stimulus money into Americans’ pockets appears to be out of reach after he abruptly ended negotiations with Democrats on Tuesday, with both sides far apart on how much money to devote to a deal.

Both Biden and the top Democrat in the US Congress, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, accused Trump of abandoning needy Americans. Republican Senator Susan Collins, facing a tough re-election bid in her home state of Maine, called Trump’s move a “huge mistake”.

“The president turned his back on you,” Biden said in a Twitter post.

With layoffs in key industries mounting by the day and threatening the fragile economic recovery, Trump late on Tuesday urged Congress to quickly pass $25bn in funding for passenger airlines, $135bn for small businesses and provide $1,200 stimulus checks for Americans.

But White House officials on Wednesday downplayed the likelihood of any kind of stimulus being passed before the election.

Trump’s drive to get Judge Amy Coney Barrett confirmed to the vacant seat on the Supreme Court by the Republican-controlled Senate before the election also may be in doubt, since three Republican senators have been infected with the coronavirus and may not be able to vote.

A wave of infections at the White House among Trump’s top lieutenants and press office aides has left the West Wing struggling to find its footing. The latest infection came on Tuesday when immigration hawk and chief speechwriter Stephen Miller put out word he had tested positive.

ABC News said its count of cases related to the White House was now 23, including Trump and his wife, Melania.

Facebook removes US President Trump Re-election Ads

WASHINGTON-(MaraviPost)-Facebook has removed a number of posts and ads run by Donald Trump’s re-election campaign that featured a symbol used by the Nazis for violating its “policy against organized hate”.

The takedown on Thursday came amid increasing pressure on Facebook from civil rights leaders, Democratic politicians, and the company’s own employees to take a stronger stance against the president’s ugly and at times violent and hateful rhetoric on the platform, though it is not the first time that Facebook has removed Trump campaign ads for violating policies.

The now-removed ads featured an image of an inverted red triangle with a black border and the message: “Dangerous MOBS of far-left groups are running through our streets and causing absolute mayhem. They are DESTROYING our cities and rioting – it’s absolute madness … Please add your name IMMEDIATELY to stand with your President and his decision to declare ANTIFA a Terrorist Organization.”

Trump and his campaign have repeatedly made false assertions about “antifa”, a term that refers to loose networks of leftwing activists opposed to fascism and white nationalism. There appears to be no evidence that antifa organizations were involved in incidences of rioting during the recent protests against the alleged police murder of George Floyd.

The inverted red triangle was used by the Nazis to identify political prisoners in concentration camps during the Holocaust.

Bend the Arc, a progressive Jewish activist organization, drew attention to the ads on Twitter on Wednesday, writing: “The President of the United States is campaigning for re-election using a Nazi concentration camp symbol … Trump & the RNC are using it to smear millions of protestors. Their masks are off.”

“Using it to attack political opponents is highly offensive,” Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, said of the symbol on Twitter. “[The president’s] campaign needs to learn its history, as ignorance is no excuse for using Nazi-related symbols.”

The posts appeared both as organic and paid content, and were published by Trump’s Facebook page as well as his running mate Mike Pence’s account.

“China invented Coronavirus, so go and ask China that nasty questions, not me”- fumes US President Trump

Go and ask China that question

WASHINGTON-(MaraviPost)-President of the United States, Donald Trump stormed out of a coronavirus press conference at the White House on Monday after becoming angry with two reporters, one who asked a question about testing, and another who didn’t get to ask a question at all.

The event in the Rose Garden was meant to give the president a chance to boast about the recent increases in testing, and Trump spoke and answered questions for nearly an hour.

The briefing got off to a bumpy start when the president misstated the dollar amount that would be allocated to states to help with testing.

“We are sending US$1 billion to American states, territories and tribes,” Trump announced, in what officials had told reporters would be a high-point of the event.

But those same officials said the amount would be US$11 billion, not US$1 billion. Moreover, the US$11 billion was appropriated in the CARES Act passed by Congress and signed into law in April, calling into question why it was being held up almost three weeks later as a major success point. A White House spokesman later confirmed to CNBC that the amount is in fact, US$11 billion.

For the remainder of his remarks, the president ran through the numbers of personal protective equipment, ventilators and other essential gear that the U.S. has produced and distributed to fight the virus.

But it was in the question and answer session that tempers erupted. At around 5:15 p.m., CBS News White House correspondent Weijia Jiang asked Trump, “You have said many times that the U.S. is doing far better than any other country when it comes to testing,” to which Trump said, “Yes.”

Jiang, who is Chinese American, continued, “Why does that matter? Why is it global competition to you, if every day Americans are still losing their lives, and we are still seeing more cases every day?”

“They’re losing their lives everywhere in the world,” Trump replied, “And maybe that’s a question you should ask China. Don’t ask me. Ask China that question, okay? If you ask them that question, you may get a very unusual answer.”

As Trump proceeded to call on another reporter, Jiang followed up. “Sir, why are you saying that to me, specifically?”

“I’m not saying it specifically to anybody,” Trump responded, growing visibly irate. “I’m saying that to anyone who would ask a nasty question like that.”

“That’s not a nasty question,” Jiang insisted, but Trump had already moved on.

“Anyone else?” Trump said to the assembled reporters, before calling on CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, who was standing in line behind Jiang.

“OK, yes, please go ahead, in the back,” he said.

Collins approached the microphone, “I have two questions,” she said.

“No, it’s ok,” Trump said, dismissing Collins, “we’ll go up here.”

“But you pointed to me, Mr. President, and I have two questions.”

“Next, next please,” Trump said, as he looked past Collins.

“But you called on me,” Collins protested.

“I did. And you didn’t respond, and now I’m calling on the other young lady in the back,” Trump said.

“But I just wanted to let my colleague finish,” Collins said, but Trump cut her off.

“Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much. appreciate it, thank you very much,” Trump said, and he turned and walked away.

The exchange was the latest in a series of bitter back-and-forths Trump has had with reporters since he started giving near daily press briefings on the coronavirus pandemic in mid-March.

Trump has also accused China of withholding information about the virus, which originated in the city of Wuhan, thereby causing harm to the rest of the world that could have been avoided.

And Trump has suggested that the virus could have been accidentally released from a Chinese laboratory, an allegation for which U.S. intelligence agencies have so far said they have no evidence.

Most recently, U.S. officials have said there are indications China is using cyber warfare to steal research on a coronavirus vaccine from American labs.

US President Trump’s charge to Americans confirms TB Joshua’s 2020 prophecy

Prophet TB Joshua’s 2020 prophecies

WASHINGTON-(MaraviPost)-US President Donald Trump has charged and encouraged American farmers, as he confirms Prophet TB Joshua’s 2020 prophecies on increased investment in the agricultural sector and dividends from the newly signed Chinese trade deal.

President Trump’s message to American farmers comes on the heels of Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua’s much-publicised prophetic message for 2020 in which he called on America to invest in agriculture.

The Prophet who has respect of many foreign presidents said, “America should invest more in agriculture because their economy will be affected.

The economy they see today will be affected, so they should invest in agriculture and encourage their farmers,” Joshua said in his prophecy released on December 28th 2019 at an undisclosed ‘prayer mountain’.

Confirming this prophecy Trump told a roaring audience at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s 101st Annual Convention that, “We are winning for our farmers and we are winning like never before.”

“We must ensure that America’s farms flourish and prosper and that’s what we’re doing,” Trump stated emphatically.

“You feed our people, you fuel our nation, you sustain our land, you uphold our values and you preserve or cherished American way of life,” he continued, adding that the deal signed with China and the newly negotiated United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement would yield tangible results for America’s farmers.

“Farmers love America, and I just want to tell you that America loves our farmers,” he declared to the crowded convention centre in Austin, Texas.

“The best days for America’s farmers and ranchers are yet to come,” Trump said in his enthusiastic message, also touting the US$28,000,000,000 his administration had injected into the agricultural sector. He said.

TB Joshua in his message to Americans, also said, “in the upcoming elections, security issue will affect the candidates and swing voters in the next election. It will be tough in the election. They should pray against a recount. It may be too tight.”

Several of Joshua’s 2020 predictions have already come to fulfillment, including the historic fallout between Prince Harry and the Royal Family in UK.
