DODOMA-(MaraviPost)-Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan has officially adopted a baby girl who was abandoned shortly after birth in Nzega District, Tabora Region.

The infant was rescued, and after attempts to locate her biological mother failed, she was handed over to the president at State House in Chamwino, Dodoma.

President Samia welcomed the child into her family, naming her Grace Samia Suluhu, and pledged to provide her with love, care, protection, and a safe home in which to grow.

She also urged mothers facing challenges not to abandon their babies but to instead hand them over to authorities for proper care.
