BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Veep Michael Usi on Monday attended Penno Mussa’s Theatrical Charity Show in Blantyre.
This event was a testament to the country’s commitment to supporting its talented individuals in times of need.
The charity show, organized by the National Theatre Association of Malawi (NTAM), aims to raise funds for Mussa, a renowned actor in Malawi.
Usi also has participated in the arts as an actor, showcasing his support for the cause.
The show’s objective is to raise MK18 million or more to cover the costs of Penno Mussa’s medical surgery, scheduled for next month.
Mussa’s health issues have garnered widespread attention and sympathy from the Malawian public.
Diagnosed with intestinal dysfunction and misplacement, Mussa requires immediate medical attention to address his condition.
The fundraising efforts aim to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with his surgery and subsequent recovery.
In a remarkable display of generosity, Usi has pledged to cover the entire medical bill for Penno Mussa’s surgery.
Furthermore, the Vice President’s office will also contribute MK1 million towards the cause. This gesture is expected to bring significant relief to Penno Mussa and his family.
